DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION
As promised, digital files have been sent via BackerKit directly to your Kickstarter registered emails. All files have been sent with download instructions, but here are a couple of things to keep in mind:
1- Check your Spam. Emails will come from BackerKit, and they can end up in your spam or junk folder. Please search for any emails coming from BackerKit, please.
2- BackerKit Surveys must have been filed out. I still have several backers that have not filled out their surveys yet, and without completed surveys, no rewards will be sent - digital or otherwise.
If you haven't filled out your Survey, please click the link below, and you'll immediately and automatically get an email with the digital files as soon as you complete them:
If you can not retrieve your Survey after clicking the link above, please contact me at [email protected]and get the good folks over at BackerKit on it.
THE APP
App Download
The app can be downloaded from the following locations:
For those who are using their Kickstarter registered email in the storyteller's app, the decks will be unlocked at 8 am EST each day. Once your decks are unlocked, there is nothing else you need to do. The next day at 8 am EST, any new users who bought the deck and are using their Kickstarter registered email, will get unlocked too. This process will run every day for a week or two.
Using a different email address
If you are not using your Kickstarter registered email in the storyteller's app. Then you must send an email to [email protected], and we will get you unlocked.
I do not know my Username or Email
If you cannot recall your Username or email, we might be able to look it up after sending us a support email as mentioned above. If you have your email at the app's purchase time, this process will be more straightforward. Therefore, please include your email in the email. 😊
Beta (kidda of)
Although it is thoroughly tested, you should consider this a beta release. Any issues with the app or your access to the card decks should be directed to the [email protected] email address. Please add the subject of "Beta Release" to the subject to gain priority among the other support emails.
BackerKit surveys are coming!

Hi Backer Family,
Soon, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards. I can't stress enough how urgent it is for you do fill out your survey the day they come out. This will our us to place the order sooner than later. This particularly import for the add-ons.
Although I recommend it, you don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. Again, you don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!
After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.
If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://monster-description-cards.backerkit.com/.
If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at https://monster-description-cards.backerkit.com/faq.
As please note will be sending out surveys randomly to about 20% of our backers first to ensure the surveys are working correctly and address FAQs in advance.

Thank you for making our project a reality! A few things need to happen before we can kick off product production and fulfillment.
Here's a quick rundown:
First, Kickstarter needs to transfer over the funds so we have the money to make the rewards (this can take up to two weeks).
Second, we have to find out to whom and where we need to ship them. We'll send out a BackerKit survey to collect this information. Most of you know BackerKit, but you can review the below page for more details if you don't.
We'll give you a heads-up via a Kickstarter backer update before we send the survey so that you can watch for it. Although, I recommend you do create a BackerKit account. You don't need to create a BackerKit account to answer your survey. The invitation email contains a link to your personal survey. It is important to submit your responses as quickly as you can since we need this information to process your rewards.
If you need to change your survey responses, purchase add-on items, or update your shipping information, you can click the link in your survey email again or request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page. (This page will only start working after we send the surveys out.)
If you prefer, you can contact me directly and give me your information, but answering your survey help us get your rewards out to you faster. BackerKit helps us save lots of time by streamlining the survey process, automating data organization, and providing us with pledge management software to make it easy to process your pledge reward shipments.

Below you will find a list of stretch goals and their current status (locked, unlocked, trending). There are a few new Stretch goals listed, and we will explain them in this article.

800 Backers — Mishaps: What happens when a creature fumbles or Rolls a one or a critical failure. Add some lighthearted humor to your stories as Monsters Fumble too. UNLOCKED!
900 Backers —Legends: As previously stated but improved by incorporating weakness, strengths, and temperament, as mentioned by Daniel Lambert and Zak in the comments section. UNLOCKED!

1200 backers – Voice Overs: Voice actors performing the Monster Descriptions and shared via the APP. See below for more detail.

New Stretch Goals
Voice Overs:
Voice overs for the Monsters Description Cards seems to be a must. Let me know if you feel otherwise in the comments below. However, for now, we are adding a stretch goal to have at least 50 of the descriptions voiced by professional voice actors like the ones the previous backer update. This will be added to the app as an integrated part of the related deck.
Engines:
These cards will also be added to the list of stretch goals. This idea came from a backer’s comment asking about the vitality of using the cards in non-fantasy settings. The Engines cards will help describe the gears, steam, belts, levers, wheels, etc, which comprise the great mechanism seen in steampunk, fantasy, and sci-fi genres.
Behaviors:
Several backers, in different ways, asked about a stretch goal asking the question of why.
i.e.
Why are the monsters where they are?
Why are the monsters how they are?
Why are monsters there at that specific time, at that particular moment?
The Behaviors Cards will help address these questions, hopeful deeply and insightfully.
Monstrosities:
These cards will address the size and scale of colossus level creatures.
